As the state moves further and further into facing our budget deficit, the voices of community leaders become even more important. Because of the severity of the Governor's proposed cuts to healthcare services, LCHC and our partners will be dedicating our next Bay Area Regional Network meeting to learning more about the state budget and how to educate legislators about the potential outcomes of so many Latinos losing their healthcare coverage. The Latino Coalition for a Healthy California, in partnership with Alameda Health Consortium, California Immigrant Policy Center, Services, Immigrant Rights and Education Network, and Working Partnership USA, is developing regional advocacy infrastructure to create a regional Latino Health Agenda.

Latino Coalition for a Healthy California invites you to become a member of the BARN. As a member of the BARN, you will have an opportunity to discuss and collaborate with other local and regional health advocates on pressing Latino health issues. Meetings are held four times per year and members collaborate on a number of Latino health issues.
